5/6//2019 Update:

QT reporting here. I’m eight months old and I have been with my foster family for over a month now. No more stitches for me. We are getting along swellingly well. I really enjoy showering with my human FBs. I also enjoy tussling with my fur FB. He really tolerates me now.  Cuteness guaranteed every time you look my way. I can’t help myself. Hope to meet you soon! Quincy

4/15/2019 Update:

Quincy here. I am glad to report that the wall has come down in the house and my foster brother and me get to pal around almost all the time. We play hard and sleep well. I have even been told that I am a snorer! I love the couch, the kennel, the dog house, the kid human bed (although I am not allowed), and any soft pile of dirty laundry. I only at the end off of a remote control this week and tried to fetch some flip flops! Other than that, these humans are learning to keep most non-dog friendly things out of reach. I am so full of energy and I hope to meet you soon! QT Quincy

4/8/2019 Update:

Hey everybody, QT Quincy here. I’m settling into my new foster home well and I am feeling right at home. My FB is still a old man and doesn’t care for me to jump all over him to play. He’s coming around. We are still separated from each other most of the time, but we go for walks at night with my foster people. I walk well on my own on a leash, but still pull a lot when I am with my FB because I want to be soooo close to him all the time. He’s the coolest and I am so fond of him and meeting other dogs on our walks.
I got into a bit of trouble the other day because I ate through a computer cable when I sneaked into the bedroom. Little gates and doors left slightly ajar are easy to navigate. Now I’m limited to the laundry room or crate when I’m home alone.  I can play in the yard now with eating the plants because I prefer my toys and fresh water. I don’t really like super loud noises like vacuum cleaners or low flying aircraft. I still love my meals (as I think I am underfed) and inhale my meals too quickly. I need to slow down and savor things more. I recently found a few tennis balls and I love to chase them. I need to work on the release part of the fetch game. I hope to meet my new family real soon.
Take Care,
Quincy

4/1/2019 Update:

My name is Quincy and my new FM calls me QT! I’m only 7 months old and I am so happy to have a new family that I love already! I have no anxiety and I’m an excellent car rider. Currently, I weigh in at about 45-50 pounds roughly! My Foster fur brother is an old man at 105 lbs. We are both Old English Bulldogs. We just met a few days days, I know he’ll come around to my bubbly personality and good looks. He’s still the top dog though. I’ve got the cutest black heart mark on my nose and some black paint splotches on my back. I’m predominantly white and need to have my face and mask wiped clean to keep me pretty. My fur FB doesn’t know what to do when I want to play so much because I am full of energy. I need to take a long walk daily. I’m not supposed to be jumping just yet because I just got fixed only 5 days ago and I’m supposed to be taking it easy- whatever that means! I love squeaky toys and my nylabone and one of my human FB just pulled out a tug rope to play with me! It’s so much better than me tugging on my leash. I love love love to go outside for walks. I must be carefully supervised in the backyard though because I gnawed a potted plant stem clean out in half when I was outside for free play. Currently, I’m separated from my fur FB except for supervised walks. We greet and sniff each other through the gates right now. I love to eat too! In fact, I eat so fast that my FM takes my bowl away from me before I’m even finished in two minutes flat so I can take a break and digest my food. I am completely potty trained but I favor the couch when I have the living room all to myself. I am not a howler or a big barker either. Please keep track of my progress. I cannot wait to find my fur-ever home!

3/23/2019 Update:

Please welcome Quincy to No Borders Bulldog Rescue.   Quincy is a 7 month old male Olde English Bulldog that weighs 50 lbs.

Quincy joined the NBBR family as a owner surrender. While Quincy’s story is unique, his story is not that uncommon.  He was purchased by a family that had Bulldogs before and were very excited to get a new puppy.  However after a very short time with Quincy, their family situation changed.  The family was out of the house much more and Quincy was in a crate “for the better part of two days at a time”.  They decided that due to these changes, it would be best for Quincy to find a new forever home.  The family listed Quincy for sale on social media.  You can imagine what a bad place a 7 month old unneutered Olde English Bulldog puppy could find himself.   Lucky for Quincy, one of our dedicated followers saw the post and knew he needed rescued.  As many know, it sometimes takes a small army of volunteers to get a Bulldog into Rescue.  A dedicated group of bulldog lovers immediately raised the money needed to save Quincy. Even before the money was raised, a NBBR volunteer had picked up Quincy to insure he was safe with Rescue.

Like all NBBR Bulldogs, their first stop is the clinic to get a checkup and any necessary treatments or surgeries.   Quincy was well taken care of by his previous family.  He will require several booster vaccines, has a bad ear infection and will be neutered.  Other than these minor issues, Mr. Q got a clean bill of health.  He has been placed on antibiotics for his ear infection and is on the surgery schedule.

The first thing you notice about Mr. Quincy is his energetic butt wiggles.  Mr. Quincy has NEVER met a stranger, which is very apparent by the fact that his entire back side wiggles from side to side each time he meets someone new.  He appears to love everyone he comes in contact.  As you can imagine, Quincy is full of Bulldog puppy energy. He loves to explore his surrounding any chance he gets. He does very well in the car and has been a perfect gentleman every car ride he has taken. Once out of the car, he is ready to stretch his legs and burn off some of the excess “puppy” energy. He feels it his duty to meet EVERYONE. Mr. Q will join his foster family later this week and will begin the next chapter in his life story; looking for a new forever family.  With his rugged good looks, happy go-lucky personality and boundless energy, it should be a piece of cake for this little guy.
