Millie has been ADOPTED!!!! Silly Millie has found her forever family and started the next chapter in her journey.
Millie (names have been changed to protect the innocent) joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender via way of abandonment. Millie was left with a “friend” so that they could watch her for a few days. At the end of the few days, her previous owner stated he did not want her any longer. The family that was watching Millie knew that they did not have the capability to provide her with the life she needed. There were many reasons: first, they lived in an apartment that only allowed small dogs and Millie was too big. Second, the lady that was watching her had two jobs and wasn’t able to devote the time necessary for a Bulldog puppy. She felt this was unfair for Millie and asked NBBR to take Millie and find her the forever home that she needed.
When Millie joined her foster family, she quickly gained the nickname “Silly Millie”. Sometimes it appears that she has split personalities. During the day she is WILD and CRAZY with the energy of 5 Energizer bunnies. At night, she is calm, quiet and only wants to cuddle.
Millie’s new family is perfect for her. They are young with lots of patience AND energy. Not only are Mom and Dad patient, Millie’s new foster sister (canine) is as well. Sometimes, it is difficult to find other dogs that are tolerant of puppies with the energy level of Millie. Millie actually had a previous meet and greet with a family and their Bulldog. Unfortunately, their Bulldog was having NONE of Millie’s energy. Did this make Millie sad? No, it made her more determined to MAKE him like her, which made him like her even less!!! This isn’t the case with Millie and her new sister, they LOVE to romp, play and wear each other out. This was a match made in heaven for all involved and we couldn’t be happier. Congratulations are definitely in order for the entire family.

Happy Fall, y’all! It’s Silly Millie! Have you seen all the snacks falling out of the trees?! My foster mom calls them “leaves.” Whatever. They’re delicious! Life has been great here in foster land. I fill my days with walks, naps, and plenty of playtime with my foster dog sister! I’m super excited about Thanksgiving because I hear there’s lots of food! I hope everyone has a great holiday! Bye for now!

Hi Y’all! It’s Millie….also known as Silly Millie …at least that’s what FM & FD call me🤪Just wanted to give an update to all my admirers out there! I’m doing well & adjusting to foster life quite well! I love my new home, but love my foster sister most of all🥰 we play ALL day!!! One of my favorite games is tug-a-war!
For anyone interested in giving me a forever home, there’s a few things that would make me the most happy….I LOVE toys!!!!! So the more toys you have for me to play with the better😁 I’m also still a puppy so I have an endless amount of energy! I would probably do best with a family that has another dog (or 2) that would want to play with me. I love getting attention from humans as well….so the more love you have for me, the happier I am! I’m quite the social butterfly so please take me places & include me in your family events & gatherings! Well, the outdoors & foster sis is calling my name so bye for now!!! 💜 Millie

Hey everyone! It’s Millie! What a fun week! The weather has been amazing so I’ve had lots of outdoors time! I really like to walk but I LOVE playing with my foster sis (a dog)! I really hope my forever family has a playful dog too! Big news! I had my spay surgery and everything went great! The doc said I should have been groggy for a few days, but I was back on my bully feet in no time. I’ve gone on lots of walks and meet all the neighborhood kids, and I really like kids!!! My potty training is coming along but I still have a few rare accidents that I’m working on. I hope all the other fosters and bullies are having as much fun as me! – Millie

Please welcome Millie to No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Millie is a one year old English Bulldog that weighs 41 lbs.
Millie (names have been changed to protect the innocent), joins the NBBR family as an owner surrender via way of abandonment. Millie was left with a “friend” so that they could watch her for a few days. At the end of the few days, her previous owner stated he did not want her any longer. The family that was watching Millie knew that they did not have the capability to provide her with the live she needed. There were many reasons: first, they lived in an apartment that only allowed small dogs and Millie was too big. Second, the lady that was watching her had two jobs and wasn’t able to devote the time necessary for a Bulldog puppy. She felt this was unfair for Millie and asked NBBR to take Millie and find her the forever home that she needs.
Like all new NBBR intakes, Millie’s first stop was the clinic. While Millie arrived with a lot of things, vet records were not one of them. So we knew she would need vaccinations and a Heartworm test at minimum. The good news is that Millie is a healthy little girl (except for a few minor “Bulldog” things). She tested negative which is a HUGE relief. Millie did however have infections in her eyes, ears and intestines. Millie also has entropion. Entropion is when the eyelashes turn into the eye and cause irritation. Due to the COVID-19 backlog we were unable to get her scheduled to be spayed/entropion surgery until mid-September. So in the meantime, Millie will be treated with antibiotics for the infection and drops for the entropion. Other than that, Millie got a clean bill of health and was ready to join her Foster family.
Millie is ALL puppy, she is very excited to see everyone. She knows 100% that EVERYONE is there to see her (even when they might not be). Millie seems to like everyone she meets regardless of age, size or species (she hasn’t been exposed to cats yet). After receiving her clean bill of health, Millie joined her foster home. She has a bigger, older Foster sister (canine) with whom she hit it off immediately. Other than foster sis, it is just her and Foster Mom and Dad, and Millie had them eating out of her paws before they even got home. We are sure there are going to be some entertaining stories to come as Millie starts her journey to find the forever family that is perfect for her. Notice, she isn’t looking for the perfect forever family, but the forever family that is perfect for her. With her girlish charm and stunning beauty…..the line of those smitten with her has already started to form!
