4/15/2018 Update:
Kennedy was ADOPTED!!!! It is with great pleasure we make the announcement that Kennedy has found her forever home and her happily ever after.
Kennedy joined No Borders Bulldog Rescue as a Guardian Angel surrender. Through no fault of hers, Kennedy found herself on social media looking for a new family (translation, for sale). Kennedy was being listed as a “rare” lilac color, was in heat and ready to breed. Kennedy’s Guardian Angel knew this meant Kennedy was destined to a life of breeding if she wasn’t rescued. In true Bully nation fashion, Kennedy was rescued the same night she was listed on social media. She went immediately to a temporary foster home, then to the clinic and finally her foster family. When Kennedy was picked up from her previous owners, she didn’t even have a name. Kennedy also had severe skin and ear infections. Her temporary foster Mom immediately went to work getting Kennedy on the road to recovery. Kennedy was given a medicated bath to get rid of the fleas she was covered in and to help with her skin issues. Kennedy actually got a full spa treatment…ears cleaned, nails clipped and probably the best meal of her short life.
Kennedy’s forever family started the adoption process over two months ago and were very excited to find “the one” for them. Once they were approved, they narrowed the list down to two and after much deliberation decided they would like to have a Meet and Greet with Kennedy. The Meet and Greet went even better than expected and it was love at first sight for everyone involved . Kennedy not only got a new forever Mom and Dad but two human siblings. Miss Kennedy will now be the princess of the house and no doubt be spoiled beyond belief. Congratulations to the entire family.
3/27/2018 Update: Kennedy is the best bulldog. We love having her with us. She is loving and laid back. She takes every step with me. Kennedy loves to be on the sofa with me and her foster brother and Louie. She gives everyone big kisses. When she is outside she enjoys sunbathing on the sidewalk. She runs with her fur brother and plays with our dog Riley. We went for a ride to the bus stop. Kennedy stood on the console watching everything. She loves her mealtime. Some of her favorites snacks are apples bananas blueberries pineapple and avocado. Cats are not an issue. She is good at bath time. She is precious.
3/18/2018 Update: This week went by fast. We had company all week long. Jake came to visit. He wasn’t very friendly but Kennedy didn’t let that stop her from being friendly and trying to be a buddy. At the end of the week Scout came for a fun visit. She and Kennedy’s foster brother played for two days. Kennedy played for a while and was happy to sit with me and watch them run and chase each other. They were so fast it was hard for her shorter little legs to keep up. Kennedy is such a good girl. She loves all her fur family here and is happy to run and meet every person that comes to our house.
3/11/2018 Update: Carter and Kennedy are doing great. Carter is doing better with the cats. We are taking it slow. If the cats ignore Carter he is learning to do the same. We can tell him no now and he will back away. He and Kennedy both will chase if they run. The cats jump on the counter and watch the dogs look for them.
Kennedy finished all her medication this week. She and Carter are on their grain free food and treats. I mix a little wet food and pumpkin. Their coats and ears look great. I think Carter has gained a pound or two. He was a little picky but has learned to eat when the food is handed to him or Kennedy will eat hers and his too.
Both bulldogs are a pleasure to have in our home. They are both sweet and loving. Today with the breezy cooler weather they have decided to be couch potatoes.
3/4/2018 Update: Carter and Kennedy are still best of buddies. They love their time with Louie and Riley. Kennedy pretty much ignores the cats. Carter being more of a puppy is a little more intrigued. They both mind really well. If you call their names they stop what they are doing and come straight to you. They have such simulator personalities. Sweet and so happy to be with their people. Kennedy just had her bath. She stands so still, loves every minute of attention. Carter didn’t like his bath last week. I put him in the shower. Tomorrow we’ll see if he does better in the bathtub. They are doing great on their grain free diet. I am amazed at their skin and ears. A huge thank you to Nikki, Kennedy’s first foster mom for all the good instructions and suggestions on proper nutrition ideas. Thank you to Jacqueline and everyone that donated to get Kennedy into Rescue. God Bless you all today and everyday 💕
2/27/2018 Update: We have had these two (Kennedy and Carter) for a week now. They are a joy. On the way home Kennedy hopped in the back seat with Carter and they have been inseparable. They love to play on the sofa and explore the yard. They have made great friends with our two old dogs Louie and Riley. They are learning to be get along with our cats, so far no real issues. They chased once in the yard when the cat ran. We have cows and goats in the pasture. They watch them, never bark or run to the fence. When bed time rolls around they are tired babies. They go to their big kennel and sleep quietly through the night.
2/17/2018 Update: Please welcome Kennedy to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Kennedy is a 3 year old female English Bulldog that weighs 50 lbs.

Kennedy was given a medicated bath to get rid of the fleas she was covered in and to help with her skin issues. Kennedy actually got a full spa treatment…ears cleaned, nails clipped and probably the best meal of her short life. Then there was the small detail of Kennedy being several hours away from the clinic and her foster family. But again, in typical NBBR volunteer fashion, our volunteers worked together to get Kennedy where she needed to be.
When Kennedy arrived at the clinic her skin already looked much better thanks to her foster Mom. It was determined Kennedy does appear to have food allergies that have been left untreated for some time. Due to her scratching she now has a bacterial skin infection which will require antibiotics. We did get some good news for Miss Kennedy, she is both Heartworm negative and intestinal parasite free. She was also spayed and will now live a life free of being repeatedly bred for profit. Kennedy received the “welcome to Rescue” package and was brought up to date on all of her required vaccinations, started on Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.
Everyone that has met Kennedy, even for a short amount of time, has said the same thing: “I’m in LOVE”. Even after all the neglect Kennedy has suffered, she is the sweetest Bulldog ever. She wants nothing more than to be close to humans. During her transport she wanted her paw in contact with her chauffeurs at all time. It appears Kennedy loves everybody and everything .She gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t seem to be concerned with cats one way or another. Kennedy had a very busy week this week, she is currently settling into her foster family and getting some much needed R&R. Please keep Kennedy in your thoughts and prayers as she begins her journey to find her new forever family that will shower her with the love and attention she was always meant to have.
