10/21/2017 Update: 

Franklin was ADOPTED!!!! It is with great pleasure we are able to announce Franklin has found his forever family and is officially off the market once and for all.

Franklin joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family when his previous owners no longer had time for him. Not only did they not have time for him, but they decided it would be best if they tried to sell him on the internet. Fortunately for Franklin, a good Samaritan saw him and rescued him from falling into the wrong hands and surrendered him to Rescue so he could find a suitable family.

Franklin’s new forever Dad started the approval process several weeks before Franklin joined the family. Actually his Dad had his eye on another NBBR Bulldog, but things changed when his forever Dad attended one of our events. The man that would eventually become Franklin’s Dad attended our event with plans of adopting the Bulldog he had been drawn to since he initially applied.  However, that Bulldog and the resident Diva (Daisy) did not get along. He was feeling somewhat defeated and sad after he realized the original Bulldog he feel in love would not be a good fit.  

Franklin was at the same event and had other plans.  He casually used his charm and personality to wiggle his little Frenchie-self right beside the man who would eventually become his Dad. You see, Franklin had a temporary foster home, but needed a longer term foster home while he looked for his forever home.  Everything seemed to fall into place and Franklin’s Dad said he would foster Franklin while he waited for the right Bulldog to come along for him to adopt. Franklin knew what he was doing and what he wanted. 

Needless to say, Franklin and Daisy are the best of pals already and as they say, “the rest is history”.  It may not have been the path to adoption we had in mind for Forever Dad but it was the right one for he and Franklin.  Congratulations to the entire family.  

10/8/2017 Update:   Please welcome Franklin to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family.  Franklin is a 5 year old male French Bulldog that weighs 24 lbs.

Franklin lived with a family with 5 children.  The oldest was taking care of Franklin, but when she had to start community hours for school and would no longer be home with him during the day, the family decided he had to go.  They did not want to leave him home all day by himself.  So Franklin found himself for sale.  And, of course, one of our supporters saw him and raised money to purchase him to surrender to rescue.

Franklin had quite a day yesterday.  He was picked up in the morning and immediately brought to the clinic to get up to date on vaccinations.  While there he had his general exam.  Franklin is thankfully heart worm negative.  He did come in with bacteria and staph infections on both his skin and ears, which will require multiple medications and medicated baths to clear up.  The entire time his family owned him, he had never been to see a vet as they self administered his yearly vaccinations.

Another volunteer family picked Franklin up at the vet and brought him to our event at Martin House Brewing where he was the center of attention.  He did well with the other foster dogs and loved everyone he met.  Franklin is a very handsome, sweet, loving little guy who would do well in any home.
