8/1/2021 Update:
Bandit was ADOPTED!!!! He will be spending his golden years in a home that is PERFECT for him.
Bandit joined NBBR as an owner surrender, along with his brother from another mother, Louie. (Louie previously crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving Bandit to figure things out as a solo dude. ) Bandit’s first stop after joining NBBR was to the clinic to get a quick check-up. We received great news on Bandit. He was up to date on his vaccines and was Heartworm negative. The only small issue Bandit has is a genetic one. While Bandit is a very handsome young man, some may say he is a little “stubby”. Along with his “stubbiness” comes a very compact body and face. Like many Bulldogs, the cute, compact body can bring along with it breathing issues. When excited, Bandit’s breathing can be affected. There isn’t anything that can be done except to keep him calm and to limit his excitement level (especially in the heat). With Mr. Bandit getting up there in years, we don’t think it will be THAT difficult keeping him calm.
Finding the perfect place for Bandit didn’t come without it’s challenges. When Bandit joined NBBR we made a promise that he would be adopted with his brother. That eliminated many of the families who were interested in one or the other but not both. When Bandit became a singlet adoptee, he faced the challenge of being a senior Bulldog. While many people start the adoption process and say that rescuing a Bulldog is their “life calling” and it is their passion, when asked about giving a loving senior dog a second home, they almost always decline.
Giving a senior Bulldog a happy home was EXACTLY what Bandit’s forever Mom wanted to do. She wanted someone who was a couch potato and loved to snuggle. What she was describing was BANDIT. After much searching, it was a match made in heaven. So after a very long stay in the foster program, Bandit has been adopted and we couldn’t be happier for both he AND his forever Mom. Congratulations are definitely in order for both.

Hi friends!
Welcome to my pupdate! This pupdate is more of a funny story Foster Mom said I should share with you guys. It is FINALLY summer break which I love becuse it means more time with Foster Mom getting snuggles on my favorite, blue, blanket. I like our home cooler than foster mom does, which works out great because she always uses my blue blanket while we watch tv. It’s the best! After we went to bed the last two nights, I have been waking up every hour to “make the rounds” as foster mom calls it (it’s really walking the edges of the bed including across Foster Mom). Usually I am a good sleeper and waking up every 45 minutes was not Foster Mom’s favorite trick that I do 😂. Around 5 am, Foster Mom took me outside (since it is summer and we can go back to bed). As we were headed back to the bedroom, both tired from waking up all night, Foster Mom saw the blue blanket on the couch and thought “I haven’t put it on the bed the last two nights since we didn’t really need it but it’s worth a shot.” So she put it on the bed and then put me on the bed. The pick is of me in my favorite spot where I sleep all night, every night (dead center of the bed) on the blue blanket! I slept all through the rest of the night! Moral to the story. Frenchies will steal you’re heart and your spot in the bed, but will also let you know if they are unhappy about ANYTHING until it is fixed. Thank goodness foster mom loves me so much and finds this charming.
Snuggles, snorts, and sloppy kisses!

Hello friends!
Welcome to my pupdate! Guess what???? This weekend was my birthday! I am 12!!! Life is great. Foster Mom planned a whole day around all of my favorite things. First, I got a bunch of extra treats. Then, we got a blanket and went to sit outside our door and watch the people walk by on the trails (I have no interest in walking them, I just like to watch, and since there is a fence between us I don’t bark as much). After that I got a long car ride to go pick up my birthday cookies (made just for the puppies) and they were delicious. When we got home, we had snuggles and naps, and then capped the whole day off by going to the river and looking at fireflies (I can’t see as well as I could during my younger days and Foster Mom thought I might like that they light up…and I did!). I have a great life and want to thank No Borders Bulldog Rescue for all that they do for me and for putting me with Foster Mom…I love her lots although she always says she loves me More🥰. Almost to summer break in this home which means even more Snuggle Times!
I hope all is well with you and your family!

Hi friends!
Welcome to my pupdate! There’s not a lot going on at my home right now, which is just how I like it. Foster mom and I are counting down to the end of the school year and summer break. I LOOOVE summer break because we get to spend even more time with snuggles and watching people walk by on the trials by out home. It’s one of my favorite pastimes. Foster mom and I love any excuse to get to spend more time together. This is her favorite recent picture of me because you can see my sleepy face in the mirror and it looks like there are two of me just snoozing away. She thinks it is precious….even when I snore. Ok. Especially when I snore ( even though I don’t think that I do).
Have a great week friends and enjoy the end I go the school year. Yay for summer!

Hello friends and welcome to my pupdate!
As I told you all last time, foster mom and I moved and I LOVE it here. I have a new favorite activity. We live right by a walking trail, it’s right outside our front door! I live for sitting out front and watching people and other doggie walk by. I have zero interest in walking on it though😂.
I want to sit in foster mom’s lap or between her legs on the grass because it makes me feel safe and I also like that there is a fence between me and the others, I bark less that way. Everyday, foster mom goes outside with me and we sit and watch people walk by for about an hour (in the sun because I love it but being a Frenchie, we do have to move to the shade to sit so I don’t get too hot). It’s so much fun. If I do well not barking at people, I also get treats…ok, I always get treats anyway…just MORE treats. Foster mom thinks it’s cute that I like to fit with my feet behind me. She took a pic so you all could see how cute I am!
Thank you for taking the time to read my pupdate!

Greeting friends!
Welcome to my pupdate! It’s been a busy couple of weeks but so much fun. Guess what? Foster mom and I moved. We couldn’t find a house we both liked fast enough and the one we did like had big dogs next door that the people on street said get out all the time and aren’t very nice (please don’t be THOSE people) and that meant we definitely couldn’t live there, so we moved to an apartment. I LOVE IT HERE! It’s perfect for just me and foster mom which is just how I like it 😊. It has carpet and I like to snort and rub my face on the carpet and then I get the zoomies and run to foster mom for kisses. I also have my own patio and even though I measured the bars and could not get out, foster mom put up a barrier and a bunch of plants and still won’t let me go outside by myself. It’s so pretty. Also, did your know you can get real grass delivered for your patio?? We had no idea. But since I wanted somewhere to stretch out in the sun and relax while foster mom sits outside with me, we ordered some. Needless to say I am loved, and spoiled, and living my best life. Foster mom doesn’t like unpacking but I sure do. It means we are home together and taking lots of breaks for snuggles and games. Thanks for taking the time to read my pupdate, but I need to get back to “helping” unpack!

Hello friends!
Welcome to my pupdate! I’m feeling so much better after going to see Dr H last week. Thanks again for everyone who helps take care of me Getting old isn’t easy!!
Guess what??? Apparently for Easter, a bunny breaks into your house and brings new dog beds and toys! At least that’s what happens for me. Foster Mom didn’t seem concerned so I wasn’t either. I know some people like to go hunt for eggs, but since I don’t like children at all (and I am picky about adults), I was perfectly fine to watch out the window from my new bed while foster mom was cooking.
Next is was time for snuggles and tv before bed. It was such a fun weekend and I love being spoiled. I hope you all had wonderful days with your families and friends and are safe and sound! See you all next time!

Hi friends!
Bandit here with a pupdate! As you can tell I very much have a favorite position for sleeping. Now that it is pretty out, I very much enjoy “froggy-ing” out in the grass. So much so that foster mom has started taking a chair outside so I can get some sun. Then of course she brings me right back to the air conditioning. I love to be outside but only in small, shaded, doses…it’s that way for all bulldogs.
This week I’m going for my yearly vet visit which is always important, but even so with an older gentleman such as myself. Over all life is great. I’m super spoiled and happy to be! Everyday is a great day for snuggles.

8/31/20120 Update:
Greeting friends!
Bandit checking in for a quick pupdate. This week foster mom had to go back to school, which is not my favorite thing. I’ve had 5 months of all the snuggles all the time. I still get plenty of them but now I get to have nice, long naps in between. This week the good people of NBBR had foster mom take me to the eye doctor for a checkup. I’m getting older and can’t see quite as well. Turns out I have cataracts..I can still see, just not as well as I used to so sometimes things sneak up on me and scare me (like trees at night). But foster mom protects me, just like I protect her from anyone who rings the doorbell. I love car rides so it was fun getting to ride to Dallas for my appointment and then I got all the snuggles and treats when I got home for being such a good boy. Then it was time for…you guessed it… a nap! But I wanted to say hello and thanks for reading my pupdate! I hope you are all doing as well as I am and staying healthy and happy!

Greetings friends!
Bandit here with a quarantine check up. Just saying hi because so many people were so very sweet and kind to check in with me and Foster Mom after my brother passed away. I’m doing better. The first few days were hard but now I’m eating again and want to be with Foster Mom all the time.
So much that she now calls me Squish because I squeeze as close to her as possible. I always have to be touching her. I play again now and enjoy very short, Frenchie length walks outside. I also really like to bark at the neighbors lab, someone needs to show him who is the boss around here! I also enjoy zoom meetings with Foster Mom because everyone tells me how cute I am when I insist on sitting in her lap during all meetings. Mostly I still love long naps and cuddles. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my pupdate!

1/17/2020 Update:
Greeting friends!
I know it had been a while since our last pupdate but a lot has been going on. We had a lovely, snuggly holiday break with foster mom and hope your holidays with your family were amazing as well.
A while back, we got to visit with our good friend Dr. H and got some news. Louie here! I had some growths on my feet that turned out to be cancer. The lovely people at No Borders Bulldog rescue have been doing a wonderful job taking care of me. I have had several surgeries to get the tumors removed but they keep growing back and getting bigger. Bandit and Foster Mom are always snuggling with me because they know I love it and to be honest, I know they love it too. I’m on some good medicine that I take everyday twice a day and keep me feeling good.
Bandit here! I’m doing great! Always full of energy and I love to play, but I love snuggles with Louie and my Foster Mom the most. I know Louie is sick, he told me. But I don’t treat him like he is. He’s still my little brother and I make him play with me and get into shenanigans, but I also love our nap times together. We’ve been together our whole lives and will be together forever. We are in love❤️
Even though we got some bad news, we don’t dwell on being sad. We are still happy fun loving “puppies” and are enjoying our lives with Foster Mom immensely. She spoils us…A LOT! And she loves it and us!!! With her whole heart ❤️
Thank you for reading our pupdate. We will keep you posted on all the good times we have coming up and would love any good thoughts you could send out way!

Hello friends!
It’s officially the holiday season! We wanted to say a quick hello and let you know we are so very thankful for sun beams to sit in, air conditioning, foster mom snuggles, and No Borders Bulldog Rescue. We have had a wonderful break and hope you have too. Senior dog month is almost over, however, we celebrate all year long!!!! Hug your puppies (we are all puppies at any age!) and tell them hello from us please.

Hello friends!!
Bandit and Louie here popping in to say hello! My goodness it’s gotten cold out! We are perfectly fine with that since we don’t sped much time outside. We are frenchies after all. However, we do like to use it as an excuse for extra cuddles and naps with foster mom (and she never complains). In fact, this picture is us waiting (semi) patiently for her to get our favorite blanket and come cuddle. Now that we are older gentlemen, we like nap times and food times the best! We settled into a nice routine and are so thankful for No Borders Bulldog Rescue for setting us up with Foster Mom and taking such good care of us. It’s a good life and we are so spoiled! Thanks for reading our pupdate and checking in!

Hello friends!
Welcome to our pupdate! Geez. Foster Mom loves to take our picture. Even when we are just playing with toys… she says we are just too precious..and who are we to argue!?! Tonight we decided toys would be nice to calm down after a great game we played together (for about two minutes and then were too tired. Such is the frenchie life). We are about to get into bed for snuggles and sleeps but didn’t want to go without saying hello! Life has been full of cuddles and short walks and treats and that’s just how we like it. We’ve trained Foster Mom pretty well!😊🐶
We hope you are all having a wonderful week! We sure are.

Greeting friends!
Welcome to our pupdate! As you can tell, we are taking it easy today. It’s the first day we have hit 100 degrees and that doesn’t do well for frenchies. So we have been inside with Foster Mom as much as possible. Next week school starts again and we aren’t thrilled about that but we have had a wonderful summer of allll the snuggles and short walks and lots of love. As you can tell we still always want to be together and as close to each other as possible.
We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer because we have! Stay cool friends!

Greeting friends!!
Thanks for checking in for our pupdate!
As you can tell from our picture, summer for frenchies is very similar to winter for frenchies. We still like it super cold in the house so we can snuggle with Foster Mom and blankets! We do get up occasionally to go potty but then want to come RIGHT back inside! Immediately. It’s just too hot. We do love that Foster Mom is off for summer break and we get even more cuddles, snuggles, treats and naps than usual….and we usually get A LOT!!!
I hope you are all staying cool and living your best life ever. Much like we are!!😊

Welcome to our pupdate! We got to have a spring break with foster mom…wow…we love school breaks!! Anytime we get to spend more time with our people we love it! We love to snuggle and got to go on a few extra (really short) walks and so many treats! Life is amazing. Just wanted to say hello because we know you have missed hearing about our shenanigans!! See you all next week!❤️

3/4/2019 Update:
Hello friends and welcome to our pupdate!!
This week we are trying to stay warm and do lots of relaxing. Bandit will sit on any soft surface and find a way to cuddle. Louie has started tucking himself into bed when he’s sleepy. Foster Mom did not cover him up, he did this himself 😊. We have to get in some extra sleep since next week Foster Mom is on spring break and she will have plenary of time to play and cuddle us. We also like to help her do housework (follow here everywhere she goes and stare at her…..trust us….she loves it!)
Everyone here is healthy and happy and we wanted to say hello and that we hope you all are healthy and happy too

1/21/2019 Update: Hello friends!
Welcome to our pupdate!
Today we both found the perfect place to nap. Bandit found a tiny spot in the sun to warm up and Louie, as always, snuggled into as many pillows as possible. We’ve had a lovely week of naps, snuggles, walks and (of course) eating and treats. Life is good. Occasionally we do have to bark at noises and protect Foster Mom, but then it’s right back to playtime and napping. We also really enjoy something called “binge watching shows”. We are excellent at this and will always keep you warm.
Thank you again for taking the time to read our pupdate and check in with us. We hope you have an amazing week! We sure will!

1/8/2019 Update: Hello friends and welcome to our Pupdate!
As you can see we had a wonderful holiday season and have very much enjoyed all the additional napping and snuggles. We didn’t know we were capable of anymore than we already did but we aim high! It’s good to have goals. We love to snuggle with people but we are also perfectly fine to snuggle with each other. We have lived together for our whole lives and love each other very much.
We are also doing much better about barking at people. We try to be have ourselves but it’s so hard not to say “Love on Me!!!” Whenever someone is approaching. And why wouldn’t they want to??? We are awesome!!!
Have a wonderful week, I know we will!!

12/24/2018 Update: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays friends!
Welcome to our pupdate! Sorry we haven’t checked in a couple of weeks. Louie was feeling sickly. We had to go see Dr. H twice and get all the tests and good medicine. Finally he’s feeling better. Nothing to report, he’s perfectly happy and healthy now! Bandit went along for moral support and now that we are all healthy and happy it’s time for Christmas break Snuggles!!!!
Foster Mom is out for break and we are all making the very best of it. We have watched all the best Christmas movies from Die Hard to the Grinch and have loved all the snuggles and naps.
This next week we will be working on not barking at other puppies when we are on a leash. We are doing MUCH better but foster mom thinks with some hard work we can perfect it. We just want to play with them!!! But not everyone knows the sound frenchies make when they are excited so they think we are angry. Especially since Bandit sounds like a tiny Velociraptor😂😂😳.
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends and we will check in again next week!

12/3/2018 Update: Hello friends and welcome to our pupdate!
We are exhausted from all the playtime in the cooler weather! We are loving it. Also it’s coming up on Christmas time which means the UPS man comes to see us and give us belly rubs when we are outside everyday. We love that so much. As you can tell we are settling in for a great nights sleep in the bed…just like we like it…Louie under the covers and Bandit on top of the covers. Bandit snoring the way frenchies do and Louie just snuggling as close as he can. Life is good but we still wanted to check in and say hi and we hope your holidays are going well! Ours sure are!

11/20/2018: Hello friends!!!
It’s pupdate time!! This week Foster Mom is off of work and we thought that was the best it could get….but it wasn’t! Foster Mom got an electric blanket in the mail. Now that we have napped with one, we are pretty sure we need one in our lives forever. Louie is modeling it in his picture.
Sometimes we whine until Foster Mom turns it on for us. We aren’t spoiled at all 😊.
Louie got his stitches out this week and has made a full recovery! Dr. H’s staff said he did great and was so well behaved. Bandit did a fantastic job keeping Louie and Foster Mom company!
We are very excited to celebrate Thanksgiving complete with snuggles, puppy friendly food, naps and all the things!! We hope your holiday is wonderful too.

11/5/2018 Update: Hello friends!!
Welcome to our pupdate!
Last week was a bit more serious so we wanted to check in and let you know how great we are doing!
Louie is healing nicely. He still has stitches but will go back to Dr. H in a couple weeks to get them out. He licks them a bit but mostly leaves them alone. Such a good little man.
Bandit had been doing an extra good job of protecting the house while Louie was recovering.
Foster Mom got some more plants and we love having the windows open so we can lay in the sun and watch the world go by. We don’t bark too much but sometimes protection is needed 😊. We also like to try to eat the dirt so Foster Mom keeps that part up high. We are having so much fun and are happy daylight savings time is here so we have an excuse to cuddle and sleep even more!! It’s our favorite pastime!
Thanks so much for reading our pupdate. We hope you have a great week….we sure will.

10/29/2018 Update: Hello friends!
Welcome to our pupdate!
This week was a busy one. We got to go for a long ride in the car, which we love and are great in the car, to go see Dr. H.
Louie had a little mole on his foot that needed to be removed, turns out he had 4 that Dr. H didn’t like the look of, so he got the all removed. Bandit went along for moral support and to protect Foster Mom from anything that could happen.
Bandit likes to sit on Foster Mom’s legs so she can’t sneak away and he can see everything that is happening. After surgery, Louie came out for cuddles while he woke up. Bandit cuddled right up and Foster Mom drove us all home so we could cuddle in the bed. Louie is doing just great! Healing nicely and so much love and cuddles. Foster Mom says we are really good about taking our medications too!
We are such good boys and not afraid to tell you so, thank you very much 😉.
We hope you all have a wonderful week!

Hello friends!!
We called it!! We told you winter was coming and it was time for snuggles!! And winter came with a vengeance. So it’s great we have been practicing our snuggles for months! We are getting tucked into bed with Foster Mom and are loving every second. As you can see, the foot of the bed is no place for gentlemen such as ourselves! We need pillows and covers and alllllll the snuggles.
We hope this pupdate finds you warm and happy and snuggled happily in bed…like we are. Have an amazing week friends!

Winter is coming!
Hello friends and welcome to our pupdate!! Winter and cooler temperatures will be here before you know it….and we can’t wait! We already get to go outside a bit more but we are also practicing our night time cuddles!!! Foster Mom says we are the best little heaters. We sleep right next to her in the bed cuddled to her and each other.
Her bed is huge but we don’t care. We all like the togetherness. We also went to have a PETacure and got our nails trimmed. We were so good. Bandit wiggles a bit more than Louie but that’s what frenchies do…we wiggle!!!
It’s been a great week and we are loving every minute of it. I hope you all have a fantastic time this week! We know we will. See you all next week!

9/24/2018 Update:
Hello friends!!
Welcome to our pupdate! We’ve been spending a good deal of time playing with toys this week. We do love to chew on toys and play. You would never know that we are older puppies. We play all the time.
This week we had to do some extra protecting of our Foster Mom. She got a new plant that was really tall and we had to bark at it to keep her safe! It never did move or try to hurt her (we think it is because we had it scared stiff) but we were so hard on it, Foster Mom found it a new place to live. It’s funny, we are fine with all the other plants just not that one. But now that Foster Mom is safe and the big, bad plant went to live elsewhere, we are back to what we do best! Snuggles and toys!
We hope you have a wonderful week; because we always do!!!

Hello friends and welcome to our pupdate!!!
This week we played and EPIC game of hide and seek. Foster Mom caught us and took a picture to share.
Louie is the best at hiding! But Bandit is the best at finding. And then we wrestle until Louie runs off and hides again. We love his game and play it often. Then it turns into nap time where we snuggle into blankets and with each other and snore. Foster mom thinks this sounds is cute.
Now that the weather is getting better Foster Mom is really starting to work with us about our manners with other dogs and people. We still bark a lot! Especially at other dogs. We only bark at people until they pet us. Then we are good. We just want them to know we are there!!!
Have a wonderful week friends!

9/10/2018 Update: Hello friends!!!
Welcome to our weekly pupdate! As you can see, we have been taking advantage of the cooler, rainy weather by using it as an excuse to snuggle. We like to pull all the pillows and blankets into a pile and make a nest. Then we settle ourselves right in the middle for a nice long nap. We are planning on spending many upcoming days this way.
Foster Mom has been taking us on slightly longer walks when it’s cool. Mostly we just like to stand outside and look at people and cars etc as they go by. Sometimes we try to “protect” Foster Mom but everyone laughs and says “no one is scared” and then we get love and snuggles and can’t control our wiggles.
Thank you for taking he time to read our adventures. We are having a wonderful time and hope you are too!

9/4/2018 Update:
Hello friends!!!
Guess what!?!? Long holiday weekends means more snuggle time! Foster Mom said she was going to sit down “just for a minute” and then needed to do some cleaning. So we trapped her under a blanket and made her lay on the couch with us!!! And guess what? She LOVED it. We watched movies and napped. Later when it came time to clean, we helped. And by helping we mean followed her all around the house to make sure she was doing it right.
This week we also helped her pot some plants that live in the house with us. And we haven’t bothered them at all. We like to sniff them and then just leave them alone.
We got baths and heart worm preventative (it’s the beginning of the month after all…don’t forget 😊). All in all everything is going just wonderfully.
Thank you all for checking in and reading out pupdate! See you next week!

8/27/2018 Update: Hello friends!
Welcome to our pupdate! Foster Mom tried to take some cute pics of us for you but we were too busy cuddling. It turned into a bit of a photo shoot. But we had a blast! As you know we are epic cuddlers, and (let’s be honest) really precious and photogenic so what’s not to love. After this we played with toys and watched a movie.
Bandit here. I still won’t have anything to do with the stairs. But I am happy to let Foster Mom carry my “squatty spotty body” up and down the stairs several times a day! I use it as an opportunity to sneak extra kisses.
All in all it’s been a super fun week! We hope yours had been good too. Thank you for all the likes and reading about our adventures.

Hello friends!!!
It’s pupdate time! This week has been a fun one. We’ve been snuggling and helping foster mom grade papers. We are great at it! We love to play with toys and each other. Sometimes we get a little itchy if we spend too much time in the grass. But foster mom rubs our feet and face with a warm washcloth (which feels amazing) when we come inside and that pretty much fixes it.
We are ready for some cooler weather but we are doing just fine with the air condition set to refrigerator and blankets for snuggles. Louie still prefers to be under the blankets. Bandit prefers to be on top of the covers….and preferably on top of Louie’s head. Foster mom says we are snuggle magnets because we like to be so close.
I hope this week finds you all well and we will check in with you very soon! Have a wonderful time!

8/13/2018 Update: Welcome to out pupdate.
This week foster mom went back to something called “work”. Which means we get up when an alarm goes off. It’s far too early for us but we enjoy a nice walk in the cool weather before she leaves. Then, as soon as she’s gone we get back into bed. She caught us on Friday and though it was so cute she took this picture, found us a blanket and headed out. We sleep most of the day and get another walk when she gets home before we snuggle and help make “lesson plans.”
All the neighbors comment on what gentlemen we are when we are walking…..until another dog comes along and then we bark. A lot. Foster mom is helping us with that and we are slowly making progress.
We have really enjoyed the rain and are even happy to go for walks in it……soooooo if you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain we do too!!!!
Thank you, friends, for checking in with us and see you next week!

This week was the last week of summer break so Foster Mom spoiled us with time and toys and love and snuggles. It was the best! Snuggles are what we do best.
Since we have been feeling so much better after our colds, we have been playing so much more and it has been a blast. We really enjoy playing together…for about 5 minutes at a time…. and then it’s back to snuggles. We also really enjoy bobbing for ice cubes in the water bowl when we come back inside from potty breaks. It’s a fun game.
All in all, life is great! We are excited for it to be a bit cooler soon so we can go outside more often and enjoy the day, but snuggling in the air conditioning isn’t a bad place to be at all!

7/30/2018 Update:
Hello friends!
Bandit and Louie here! Our summer colds are gone and we are playing again! That’s right, we take a break from napping to run in a big circle around our house and then nap again. It’s wonderful! It makes Foster Mom happy to see because she knows that means we are feeling all better. Thank you Dr. H!
To celebrate and make sure all the germs were gone, we helped Foster Mom clean the house and then got a bath. They aren’t our favorite thing but we are really good when we get them. We even let her clean our ears (which is so important for frenchies).
It has still been really hot so after our baths we went outside really quickly to dry….it took no time at all….and then back inside to lay in bed, snuggle and watch a movie (we both slept).
Thanks for checking out our weekly pupdate!
Snuggles, Snorts and Sloppy Kisses,
Bandit
7/24/2018 Update:
Hello friends and welcome to our weekly pupdate. This week we didn’t feel great. We caught a summer cold. It’s the only cold thing about this summer 😂 (we crack ourselves up). Anyway, Dr. H fixed us right up. However, we totally used it to our advantage and spent most of the week on the couch with Foster Mom getting snuggles. We LOVE summer break. We were so good in the car today. We love to go in the car and behave like the perfect little gentlemen that we are.
Bandit here. I’ve had some sniffles and snorts this week, even more than my normal sounds. Foster Mom still thinks all my noises are precious but she took me to the doctor because she knew it wasn’t the right kind of snorts and I feel so much better now. One of our aunties from the rescue came to visit us this week and she will tell you how much I love to cuddle and get love. It was wonderful.
Thank you so much, friends, for reading our pupdate! We are having a wonderful summer and hope you are too.

7/17/2018 Update: Hello friends!! Welcome to our weekly pupdate. This week we went on lots of car rides. We are really good in the car and we enjoy looking out the windows but the air conditioner had to be on HIGH. Then Foster Mom went on vacation for the weekend and we got to go stay with Dr. H and get so much love and cuddles. We have a good time there but we were ready to be home. Foster Mom has been giving us extra love and cuddles since we got home. Then she took this picture of us on the couch just enjoying being home and napping on the couch.
We’ve been having a wonderful summer full of adventures and naps and everyone comments on what good boys we are. And we are. Foster Mom tells us so every day. I hope this week finds you well and happy; just like we are. Can’t wait to check in next week and hope to meet you all soon!
Snuggles, Sorts and Sloppy Kisses,
Bandit (and Louie)
7/2/2018 Update:
Hello Friends!
Welcome to our weekly pupdate! Its the first week of the month and you know what that means….heart worm and flea preventative! Especially this time of year, and we take ours like champs! Just throw it in the bowl with our food and we eat it right up. We love our food and treats! BUT we don’t beg for people food because we don’t get to have it. It’s not good for us and lets face it, begging for other people’s food is not cute! We love to greet the neighbors when we go outside to potty and everyone comments how cute and sweet we are. And they are right!!
Now that we are settled in we love to play and be silly….and then crash and sleep. We play hard and sleep harder and we still get to sleep in the bed. Foster Mom says we would be Olympic gold medalists in snuggling. We practice it every change we get.
Life is good!
Snuggles, Snorts and Sloppy Kisses,
Louie and Bandit
6/24/2018: Update:
Hello Friends!
Welcome to our weekly pupdate! This week has been wonderfully uneventful. We have had lots of naps and walks (very short) but no car rides because its too hot. Even with the air conditioner on in the car , we prefer to be at home with the AC blasting. We have settled in nicely and have gotten into our groove at the new place and have made it our own. We allow Foster Mom to sleep in our bed, and make us our meals, and take us outside several times per day. We have made it clear to Foster Mom what type of music that we like and we enjoy having the radio left on while she is gone. We do a great job not pottying in the house and we don’t bark very much at all. We do talk and sing (and Foster Mom loves it!!) but we don’t bark. One of our favorite pass times is something called a “netflix binge” it’s where people get a blanket (because we like the house cold) lay on the couch and cuddle with us for hours while the TV makes noise. It’s wonderful. We are amazing company and really enjoy being with you. If this sounds enjoyable to you, please say hello! Have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by to read about our adventures!
Snuggles, Snorts and Sloppy Kisses,
Bandit
6/17/2018 Update: Greetings friends!
Louie and Bandit here for our weekly pupdate, This week was eventful because we had a house guest and got to go see our good friend Dr.H. Our foster mom went on a vacation and we got to go stay with Dr. H for a couple of days. We had so much fun and everyone their was sad when we left because we are so sweet and love to give cuddles. We were thrilled to see foster mom and get back into sleeping in the bed. It was good to be home. The next day Fergus came to visit. He is super friendly, and happy, and large.
Bandit here, I do not like other dogs. At all. I bark and jump at them. Good thing Fergus is great with littles or else Foster Mom says I would have been in trouble.
Long story short, we probably need a home without other dogs please.
After Fergus left we slept all day when we weren’t playing with toys and eating dinner. We love our (super short…less than 5 mins……it’s so hot) walks to go potty and smell allll the things and roll in the grass.
All in all our lives are great! If you want your life to be great too, you should consider adopting us. We are amazing!
Snuggles, Snorts and Sloppy Kisses!

6/10/2018 Update : Hello Friends!
The biggest news of the week is that…..WE GOT TO SLEEP IN THE BED WITH FOSTER MOM. Holy Cow that’s amazing! We have been sleeping thru the night until the alarm goes off since we started sleeping in the bed (which foster mom LOVES). Louie likes to sleep with his whole body and head under the sheets…..and if you don’t cover me, I will figure out a way to do it myself!! Bandit sleeps on top of the covers with his squatty, spotty body GLUED to your legs. We highly recommend sleeping in the bed.
6/3/2018 Update:
Hello friends!Welcome to our weekly pupdate! This week has been great. Foster Mom has been off work so we have been getting all the snuggles and cuddles. We are settling in just wonderfully and love having allllllll the dog beds to sleep on at night. During the day, however, we are allllll about the couch. We are continuing to eat well and potty (mostly) outside.
Bandit checking in! I have been doing so good keeping everyone in line. This week the UPS man came to my door. Oh my goodness! It was difficult to protect the house, foster mom, and Louie all at once but I did it. No problem. I’m a great protector.
Thank you for taking the time to read our update and like our post. We are having a wonderful time and can’t wait to see what next week holds.
Love you friends!
Bandit
5/29/2018 Update:
Hello everyone! Thank you for our warm welcome to No Borders Bulldog Rescue. This has been a busy week but we are ROCKING it. First off, friends, it is HOT outside. Our Foster Mom takes us outside, watches us potty, and brings us right back in and that’s about all we can take. Thank goodness for all the shady trees! We are eating and drinking just fine, thank you for asking, and almost always do our business outside. We both love playing with toys but have to be watched while we do since Louie likes to eat things. He has not tried to yet, but since he has had some surgeries in the past because he did eat some things, better safe than sorry. We both still love sleeping in our dog beds, and for the first day or so that’s all we wanted. However, we have come around and LOVE to snuggle with Foster Mom. And she loves every second. We spend a lot of time with the AC cranking, sitting on the couch. It’s been great!
Bandit here. (or as Foster Mom calls me sometimes Squatty Spotty Body) I am the biggest cuddler you will ever meet and I snort like a piggy. I am terrified of stairs. If I even see them, I slam on the breaks. However, it might just be a trick because Foster Mom carries me and Louie has to walk. I win!! Right now I’m typing laying on the other side of Foster Mom. We are all hitting off really well. I’m the more chill of the two brothers (so far) and as long as I’m cuddling and snoring and snorting, I’m good.
Thank you friends, for taking the time to read our update. We can’t wait for more adventures and will definitely keep you posted. Until then have a wonderful week!
5/25/2018 Update:
Please welcome Bandit to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Bandit is an 8 year old male French Bulldog that weighs 25 lbs.
Bandit joins NBBR as an owner surrender. Bandit brings along with him his brother from another mother, Louie. These two boys have been together for almost 8 years and are a bonded pair. Bandit’s family had a very hard decision to make. They have had a change in their lifestyle requiring them to travel for long extended times, and knew it would be best for Bandit and Louie to find a new forever home where they could be the center of attention. After a very difficult decision, they contacted NBBR and asked if we could help Bandit and Louie in their search for that new forever home. Bandit was very loved and well taken care of.
Bandit’s first stop after joining NBBR was to the clinic to get a quick check-up. We received great news on Bandit. He is up to date on his vaccines and he is Heartworm negative.
Bandit had a very busy first day in Rescue, in addition to going to the clinic he also met his new foster Mom. Bandit’s foster Mom recently lost her Frenchie and after some time to mourn, she missed having a dog. She also missed the cuddling, kissing and of all things the snoring and snorting. (She got a double dose of all those yesterday). Bandit has a GREAT personality and seems to love everyone he meets. He is definitely the alpha male of the pair. He feels the need to always be the first one out the door when going for walks. Bandit does walk well on a leash and enjoys short walks when the weather is cooler. While some might slap the “Senior Bulldog” label on Mr. Bandit, his activity level says anything but senior. He loves to wrestle and rough house with his best bud, Louie.
As mentioned earlier, Bandit and Louie are a BONDED pair and will only be adopted to a family that can take both of them together. So the search starts to find the right family with enough room for not ONE but TWO French Bulldogs. We know a family is out there and it is just a matter of finding them. Stay tuned for information and stories on Bandit and Louie as they settle in with their Foster Mom, it is guaranteed to be a fun filled summer for these two.
